Hello, and welcome to Affiliate Marketing for Grandparents! This is a place where we grandmas and grandpas can learn to make extra cash for upcoming life events, like providing college money or even basic necessities for our grandchildren. And of course we want to visit our grandkids more often, which means travel money or even retiring early so we can devote as much time as possible to those little darlings, our granddaughters and grandsons.
My story
I am a fairly new grandparent. I have 2 grandsons, a three year old, and a 10 month old. They live in Maine, and their parents are in the Navy, so they likely won’t be in Maine for long, and could very well be stationed anywhere around the world. I live in Colorado, so I get to see the kids maybe once or twice per year.
Also, I had my retirement wiped out in 2008. Oh, my husband and I are doing fine now, but we have turned from middle class to working poor. We have great jobs right now, but we also had quite a lot of dept. We needed a side gig that would help us make ends meet, provide money for emergencies, have a little more money to travel to see the grandkids, and hopefully retire without starving to death.
I found Wealthy Affiliate. They helped me immediately get a website up and running. I had always wanted to create blog, because I love to write, and I seem to have so much to say! Just ask my husband! Wealthy Affiliate provided me with a platform and step by step instructions on how to put a website together that will pay me enough money to provide for all those financial needs I will incur in the coming 10 to 20 years.
Don’t get me wrong. This is not a get-rich-quick scheme. It takes hard, meticulous, dedicated, tedious, and steadfast work. But it’s fulfilling and creative work that I love, and can do in my spare time.
I did so well at Wealthy Affiliate with my first website, that they challenged me to become a Wealthy Affiliate promoter, where I can teach others what I have learned.
Why I want to help people
I have found myself in this financial pickle, and realized that there may be millions of other grandparents laying awake at night, like I was, wondering how we were going to remedy this situation. If I can help just one grandma or grandpa learn how to do affiliate marketing, and set them up so they can get that extra money to visit the grand kids more often and/or help with the necessities, then I have done a good thing here.
The Goal for this Site
This site is to show you, the grandparent (or the friend or loved one of a grandparent) that there is a legitimate way to fix all the financial challenges we see coming down the line. In this site I will show you the benefits of affiliate marketing, and the ways you can make it work for you!
Also, I am researching all aspects of retiring myself, and have come across a lot of information that might be helpful to you in your retirement planning. So I have written plenty of articles that inform you of your options and what you need to know, as a grandparent going into retirement.
